@ceford Thanks so much for this answer! I checked my #__menu_types table and it was missing the ordering column. So I ran the two sql statements above (ALTER TABLE and UPDATE) and was able to login to the administrator site and access index.php?option=com_installer&view=database to update the rest of the database. Works like a charm!
